For me, it will always be “Eden Lake.” Those who seen it will understand. A girl and her boyfriend go camping at a lake in the countryside and her and her bf are tortured literally to death by these children. They are backwoods kids who grew up there and know the area like I know New York.. put them in any point blindfold them, then unmask them, and tell them find their way home. They do, and beat you there. “Deliverance” banjo-playing type people, backwoods people have their own set of rules, incest. They are way behind the times, no one goes over there and no one can come out of there if they don’t want you to, they’ll bury you in their front yard and no one will ever find you again. Anyway, I’m sure you all get the type of people I’m referring to here.
Long story short, these kids tortured and ruined their relaxing trip. They killed the boyfriend, so he died and she’s alone. One of the kids died but it’s their own fault for being horrible kids, this poor girl amidst the torture her and her bf were enduring at the time stabbed this horrible kid by accident. She finally sees a house and thinks wow, finally some safety. These people will get me help, I can go home. They let her in, they oblige. Every one of their backwoods friends/family/lovers, are in the house. She tells them what happened, they let her use the bathroom to wash up and possibly use the bathroom. All of a sudden guess who she hears; the kids who literally tortured her walk in. This is their family! The kid who died, the mother was the woman who allowed her in and told her to use the bathroom. It was her house, I believe. So the kids walk in, the mother says who was in the house and I believe they were getting in trouble for how severe they tortured her and her boyfriend, they must of downplayed it. So to get out of hearing it, they proceed to tell the mother that she’s the one who killed her son. As this happens, you see the fear start to engulf her. She’s looking for a window but there are none and she basically has no choice but to accept what’s to come and then men come in and the torture/killing her Begins.. movie camera starts to fade out of the bathroom and further and further from the house but you hear her screaming crying, and you know what’s going on .. and it just never ever sat right with me ever. Thats how bad it is and you don’t even see blood or anything, you hear screams and feel her dread cause she’s stuck in that bathroom. It made the list as one of the most disturbing scenes. That, in fact, is the most proper word for it, disturbing.
